Collection: Helan Mountain East Appellation 贺兰山东麓

Helan Mountain East is the first internationally recognized wine appellation of China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, in the north-central part of China, bordering the Gobi Desert.  The climate here is continental / semi-arid, with over 3,000 sunshine hours per year and annual rainfall not exceeding 200mm. The main soil type is sandy gravel. Vineyards are typically dotted along the foothills of the Helan Moutain range at an altitude of around 1,200 metres above sea level.
