Fei Tswei Reserve Chardonnay 2019

The grapes are hand harvested, then undergo cryo-maceration to maximally retain the purity and intensity of the fruit aromas. This is followed by gentle pressing in air bags. The juice is clarified and fermented at strictly controlled low temperatures. Selected yeast further enhances the wine’s aromatic profile. The lees is removed immediately after fermentation is over, to retain the purity of the wine aromas.

Aging method: 10 months in oak barrels, 12 months in bottle.

Tasting Notes

"The wine is clear and bright, mid lemon-yellow colour. Delicate citrus character on nose, with a touch of fresh apricot. A well-judged touch of oak bringing a hint of roasted hazelnut and baking spices. Bright acidity underpins the fresh and lively mouthfeel, giving way to a lingering, mouth-watering and well-defined finish. Quite Burgundian in style."
