Made from 25 year old vines from a single plot in the vineyard. Xige Winery boasts some of the oldest plantings of vines in the Ningxia region.
(with some possibly Cabernet Franc); Chinese producers retain the Cabernet Gernischt name for its adapted, distinctive local expression.
Racy hawthorn, dark cherry, black pepper, dried herbs and rose with minty/cedar lift; medium- to full-bodied, juicy and precise with polished tannins, bright acidity and a focused, peppery, elegant finish.
