Hand-picked and sorted. Bucher Vaslin press, cold soak, the 2 weeks fermentation in small stainless steel vats at 27˚C. 18 months ageing 100% new French oak (225L), bottle aged for 1 year before release.


Tasting Notes

2018 is the inaugural vintage for Célèbre's Cabernet Sauvignon, with intense notes of dark plums, blackcurrant and black cherries. The evolution of these aromas has progressed into a sublime complexity.  On the palate, a charming first impression, fine and elegant, a crescendo of intensity follows to a plump but structured mid palate with dusty tannins. On the finish, the lingering notes of coffee and chocolate joins the silky fruits, with flavours seeing no end.

About Celebre.

Célèbre is a new figure of the Himalayas, born on the best terroirs of Yunnan. This project has been initiated by two brothers Zhan Huangen and Zhan Hangrun, from a tea family in Chaozhou. They invited Patrick Valette, a French international winemaker, to make the wines.

They aim to reach the highest quality in the emerging world of Chinese wines with a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The places where are grown the vines have an altitude that varies between 2200m and 2600m and shows a great complexity of different soils that we have selected carefully to produce our first vintage, the 2018.
